On this week’s episode of The First Run, Chris and Matt discuss Quentin Tarantino’s 8th film, ‘The Hateful Eight’. No Tarantino film has had a more unusual path to the screen. A leaked script and almost abandoned project, political controversy centered around the director himself, and his promotion of 70mm with the Roadshow screenings. So where does QT’s latest rank amongst his work? Is ‘The Hateful Eight’ Oscar worthy, or simply fan boy service? Matt and Chris then start their review of the films that helped shape their childhoods, kicking things off with the film that inspired the marathon, 1987’s ‘Masters Of The Universe’. That’s He-Man for you kids out there. As always there’s a review of the big releases on Blu-Ray & DVD. The guys wrap up the big show with their 2016 Preview as Chris applies some needless requirements just to make things more difficult. Dingus!
