Feel like dropping us a note and telling us how great we're doing?  Or maybe that we have no idea what the heck we're doing and should shut down the whole thing?   Perhaps just a suggestion or two?

Well, drop us a line and let us know!  Don't be shy.  We can take it.  Especially if it's praise.  We eat that stuff up!

Big Sequels Have Good Enough Box Office Beginnings

Chris Scalzo

Survived, Dead, Dead.  (Spoilers!)

Ridley Scott begins filming 'Prometheus 2: Idris’ Revenge' (we made that second part up) this January.  Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender reprise their roles from the first film as Elizabeth Shaw and David the Creepy Robot respectively.

One thing you can count on is that there will be no xenomorphs, though they may even not be xenomorphs according to this interesting article over at arsetechnica.com.  Ridley Scott told Yahoo! Movies U.K.:

“The beast is done.  Cooked. I got lucky meeting Giger all those years ago. It’s very hard to repeat that. I just happen to be the one who forced it through because they said it’s obscene. They didn’t want to do it and I said, ‘I want to do it, it’s fantastic.’ But after four, I think it wears out a little bit. There’s only so much snarling you can do. I think you’ve got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we’ve found the next step. I thought the Engineers were quite a good start.”

So you’ll have to wait for Neil Blomkamp’s Alien sequel for all of your double mouth, chest-bursting action.  With Scott we’ll have some more existential angst and intergalactic exploration.  So think Star Trek: The Motion Picture, but hopefully more, how do you say it…interesting?  The plot description on IMDB is detailed as “The plot is unknown at this time.”  Sounds fascinating!
