Director/Writer Scott Cooper tells the story of a retiring cavalry captain given one last mission, escort a Native American Chief back to his homeland to die. It’s the Star Trek VI of westerns. Then it’s on to the latest film from Takashi Miike’s latest, an adaption of the Japanese manga, ‘Blade Of The Immortal’. It’s the story of an immortal ronin seeking redemption by protecting a newly orphaned girl and hunt down the murderers. Plus there’s some feudal politics to deal with. There’s your dependable rundown of the big releases on Blu –Ray & DVD, featuring the Straight To DVD and Streaming Picks of the Week.
