Feel like dropping us a note and telling us how great we're doing?  Or maybe that we have no idea what the heck we're doing and should shut down the whole thing?   Perhaps just a suggestion or two?

Well, drop us a line and let us know!  Don't be shy.  We can take it.  Especially if it's praise.  We eat that stuff up!

TFR Ep. 535: Soul, The Midnight Sky, 5 Favorite Films Directed By An Actor

Chris Scalzo

This week on The First Run, Chris and Matt celebrate the New Year with some ‘Soul’ and some Clooney.  First up, Pixar’s latest film ‘Soul’ is live on Disney+ without an additional fee.  Joe Gardner is a middle school music teacher who meets a fortunate not-quite end.  Is he able to force a second chance or is he destined to burn in the pits of hell for all eternity?  Something like that.  Then Matt and Chris discuss the George Clooney helmed picture, ‘The Midnight Sky’. Clooney is possibly the only survivor of a doomed planet desperate to communicate to a group of astronauts on their way back to Earth that maybe they may want to pull a u-turn and head out somewhere else.  But can he do it in time?  And is he alone…?  There’s the ravishing rundown of the big releases on Physical Media, featuring the Streaming and Straight to DVD Picks of the Week.  The show then wraps with Chris and Matt sharing the 5 Favorite Films Directed By An Actor.  So let’s crank this baby up to 11 and start the festivities.
